Recipe Calc is a calorie counter and nutrition calculator. It's user-friendly and includes ample help. Its low rank is due simply to the narrow feature set. If your main concern is the nutritional content of your daily food intake, this program will do the job. However, most Nutrition Software programs, including top-rated DietMaster 2100, Nutrinote and DietPower, offer more tools and features to improve overall health quality, as opposed to simply tracking calories.

General Nutrition Features:   Excellent

Recipe Calc calculates total calories, calories from fat, the percentage of calories from fat, fat weight (in grams), cholesterol, carbohydrates, sodium, and protein. The program displays this information in the "Nutrition Facts" label format that you are accustomed to seeing on lables, making it simple to interpret the data.

Recipe Calc allows you to enter your recipes into a database by selecting and combining food items from the database. The program automatically totals the nutritional value of your recipe and displays the information in the standard "Nutrition Facts" label format.

After you have entered your recipe and made a nutrition facts label, you can print the recipe and the label too—a fun plus when sharing treats with friends. You can also send recipes to others by email or save recipes as web pages.
