DietMaster 2100 has more features than standard nutrition programs designed to make entering and monitoring your daily food consumption as simple as possible. The Meals Screen shows each meal and associated nutrients. You can add any meal to favorites and create a complete meal plan. Easily navigate between specific foods, favorite foods and the calendar view. You can also use dietitian approved meal plans.
The Food Items database allows you to select daily food items, sort each under the right meal heading (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack), then view the nutritional value and a running total of the nutrients and calories. DietMaster allows you to search subgroups of healthy foods by protein, starch carbohydrate, fibrous carbohydrate, protein snack, carb snack and performance carbohydrates. This is unique to DietMaster and makes food selection easier when you need foods to fit a particular need or diet.
DietMaster 2100 has a Recipe Management database with more than 60 recipes created and approved by registered dietitians; additionally, you can add new recipes and edit or delete existing ones. You can also create meal plans, weekly menus and print grocery lists. Use the Exchange function to substitute a specific food for another from the same food group; you can do this for a specific meal, for any given time period, or forever. DietMaster automatically calculates the serving size so you can stay within your plan.
The program has an Exercise Log database that contains lists of physical activities with calorie burn rates. You can use this tool to compare your daily calories burned to your daily caloric intake to see if you are on track with your weight loss regimen.DietMaster 2100 also offers glycemic tables, nutrient summary profiles, dietary analysis, vitamin and mineral analysis and exercise reports.

If there are ways to save steps in the entry process, DietMaster has found them with automated searches, smart searchable food groupings, and the ability to create both food and meal favorites. DietMaster 2100 has an excellent help section with a content-sensitive search tool. The program also offers tutorials to help you navigate the program. If you have unanswered questions within the first 90 days, you can contact technical support Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Standard time at no charge. After 90 days, the manufacturer charges a $20 fee for each technical support call. There is also free email and fax support.
