Tutorial

BeNutriFit provides a comprehensive HELP system including a Tutorial to help NEW users quickly get started using its many features and capabilities. You may select from a list of pertinent Topics to view graphics and information to help you understand a particular feature. The HELP system is organized by Topic and an index is provided to allow you to quickly search for answers to your questions.

Search Capability

Search the USDA database, Meals database, Recipes Database, or Restaurants database for a food item within any one of the food groups or across all of the food groups or categories. The advance search option now provides the additional capability to "drill down" the database using the search within a search feature until the database is exhausted. In effect, you are conducting dual searches to refine your results to fit the desired search criteria. This feature used in combination with the PCF percentage and/or nutrient gram weight value is one of the most powerful search tools on the market for nutrition software! For example: search for meals, or food items that have a less/greater 30/40/30 Protein/Carb/Fat percentage value. This option may be used to scan the entire database by specific food item, such as Top Sirloin or for a food item within a food group. Also, the advance search option provides the capability to search for a food item for any nutrient by its gram weight value. For example, you can find 'ice cream' whose fat content is less than 1 gram or 'poultry food group' whose protein content is greater than 20 grams.

Nutrient Evaluation

By clicking the Totals Option from the Menu Manager you may compare your nutrient consumption to the PLAN values you defined or the RDA recommended for you! The over/under values are color coded for easy recognition. This feature may be viewed or printed for daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly totals.

USDA Database

You may add, copy, delete, and update food groups and food items from the BeNutrifit database. The BeNutrifit database is derived from the USDA database, and contains over 11,000 food items from 26 food groups. Updated with current USDA database, your favorite Restaurants data, and Nutrient Supplements data. Detail values for calories, protein, carbohydrates, fats, fiber, cholesterol, sodium, 13 minerals, 13 vitamins, and 18 aminos acids are provided. Nutrients may be added to the database by their gram weight or by percentage of RDA. This allows the user to use the values generally listed on product food labels. The Weight and RDA% for the nutrient is presented graphically so you may quickly assess its content. You may search through the complete database or by food group for a specific food item, and sort the content of over 30 nutrients.

3-for-1 License

You may install, for personal use, BeNutriFit on up to 3 computers for a single price of $19.95. This allows you to have BeNutriFit operating at home, office, and laptop. You then may use whichever computer you wish and copy daily, weekly, or monthly data to another computer. This is an option which is offered rarely by software developers! You must contact BeNutriFit with the serial numbers and owner names of each computer to receive your additional unlock codes.

Transfer Data

Since BeNutriFit offers a 3-for-1 license, they incorporated the ability to transfer data between computers! Data can be copied for the day, week, or month. This way you can copy data from your computer at work to your computer at home. You may now export and import your Recipe data between computers!

Recipe Manager

You may create Recipes and evaluate their nutrient content via the Recipe screen. You may then include (add) the recipe to your daily menu or meal created in from the Meals Database Screen. Analysis is performed for PCF, vitamins, and mineral content and displayed graphically and in grid formats. The analysis provided by BeNutriFit is offered by few 'recipes only' software packages!

Graphs! Graphs!

Graphs! Graphs! Graphs! BeNutriFit has more graphs than most nutritional software products on the market. All the ready-made graphs are configured for you. Bar, Pie, Line, 3D, and Flat graphs can be selected via a click of the mouse. Pop-up graphs can be accessed on the Main, Database, Meals, and Recipes screens. Content can be rotated via a 'right' click. The 'Trends' screen offers graphical analysis of several criteria by day, week, month, and year.
